The heat is on for the Statewide Forklifts Masters

Posted by NSWSKC on 28 October 2014

The heat will certainly be on this Sunday in more ways than one, not only is the weather expected to be hot but the championship race in all classes is really hotting up now.

This weekend Steve Pacchiarotta has jumped on board to be the major sponsor with Statewide Forklifts. Statewide Forklifts provide forklift rentals all around Australia with around 250 units and the fleet continues to grow. They provide a wide range of customers with new and used forklifts, fleet management, warehouse forklifts, forklift attachments, telescopic forklifts, all terrain buggies, even onsite mobile repairs plus much, much more. The Pacchiarotta name has been around the Speedway scene now for many years and this year they join the NSWSKC this year with young Zac racing in Junior National Pro.

Round Three “The Masters” will see three rounds of heats before a final. Trophies will be based on points so drivers will be looking to stay consistent throughout the day whilst trying to pick up race wins.

The Cadets have been putting on some great racing lately lets hope they can continue, with James Angilley looking very good last meeting and a little unlucky to not get the feature win. Sophie Coghlan, Brayden Shute and Jac Lanyrie have been very fast but they will be looking over their shoulders with Luke Angilley and Hallie Boyd showing some great pace.

Rookies have a new face joining the ranks this week with young Emily Coghlan set to make her debut. With Luke Geering a little unlucky last meeting he will have his sights firmly set on getting back to the front, This won’t be easy with Zac Blanch looking to back up his good form and other young guns such as Conner Moreau, Jack Selmes, Payton Coghlan, Liam Walker and Ethan Rietdyk have all shown this season they could take that top spot.

Juniors have been our toughest class this season, with each race you could throw a blanket over the field, Step out of line here and you’re going from first to last. Taylor Coghlan found some much needed pace last time out and scored a win heat win she will be tough to beat along with fellow lady racers Kayla Green and Brittany Hickey, but they will have there hands full with Luke Sayre back to form and Jake Donaldson looking to stay at the top of the standings. Two young guys who aren’t far away from a good result are Bailey Goodwin and Zac Pacchiarotta a bit of luck their way and you could see them on the top step.

Whilst numbers have been down,Clubman Light have been putting on some great racing with Jake Baines leading the way at the top of the championship but Jason Woodward and Alana Onley are not far behind. Who will take the spoils this weekend?

Clubman Heavy, Strong fields continue and Joel Robertson has been the stand out so far this year proving hard to beat but never discount the likes of Mathew Angilley, Matt Elliott who are always nipping at his heals. Tony Ball has been a steady improver all season so look out for him to grab a podium position.

The Premier class KT combined has given no shortage of action this season. James Melling has his eyes on the prize and one hand on that championship trophy but who will bring him down? Greg Coghlan shown some great pace last meeting and not for bad luck may have taken that top step also throw into the mix some very speedy ladies Ashleigh Jack and last start feature winner Kaytlin Hickey. Russell Minto could surprise them all he has driven well this year without much luck.

So come on out see what all the fuss is about and for just $5 you can see some of the best Dirt Kart Speedway Racing in Australia on Sunday (November 2nd) with a large crop of drivers set to compete.  Racing on Sunday will get underway at 10am whilst all canteen facilities will be open. You will find Nepean Raceway on Rickards Road, Castlereagh.

Also a reminder that the clubs presentation evening will be on the 14th of December so get your tickets now. This will be a fantastic event to see all our class champions crowned along with other awards.

The NSWSKC would like to acknowledge and thank all their corporate partners for their continued support throughout 2014.Without the support of these guys it wouldn’t be possible for us to race.
